Our Values

We believe God’s perfect plan for every person is to transform him or her into a new creation.
“And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you.  Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable.  This is truly the way to worship him.  Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.  Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2

Important Question:  Does your thinking and behavior pattern the world’s thinking or God’s?

We believe every person was made to be a member of God’s family and so we exist to see people become part of and live in relationship with God’s family.
“So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners.  You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people.  You are members of God’s family.”  Ephesians 2:19
“God places the lonely in families; he sets the prisoners free and gives them joy.” Psalm 68:6

Important Question:  Are you actively pursuing healthy relationships with God’s people?

We believe we are most like Jesus when we are compassionate and generous towards others.
“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”  John 3:16
“Yahweh!  The Lord!  The God of compassion and mercy!"
    Exodus 34:6
“You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.” Luke 6:36

Important Question: Is your life reflecting compassion and generosity towards others?

We believe every life is of infinite and equal value to God, is made in his image, and someone for whom Christ died.  Every person deserves to feel welcome!
“Keep on loving each other as brothers and sisters.  Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it.” Hebrews 13:1-2

Important Question:  Are you intentionally welcoming and inviting people to church?

We believe people without Jesus are eternally lost and we are called to share God’s plan of salvation.
“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given them.” Matthew 28:19-20
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” Luke 19:10
Important Question:  Are you sharing your faith and testimony within your circle of influence?
